THE FLIGHT OF THE PHOENIX FROM GREECE TO CHINA: Only in the aura of the mystery surrounding it is the Chinese Phoenix similar to the mythological Egyptian bird which continually raises from its own ashes. In its beak, it carries the sacred texts, on its body are written the three cardinal virtues, it?s song contains the five notes of the Chinese musical scale and its tail has the five primary colours : (the East symbolizing spring and wood) Red ( south ? summer and fire) White ( the West ? autumn and metal) Black ( the North : winter and water) and the Centre ( the emperor and the earth)The two yang colours : blue and Red are balanced with the ying colours : white and black.
