The Place Vend?me, defined by its majestic proportions and a strong sense of symmetry, as well as by its octagonal shape, is a truly unique piece of construction. To celebrate his victory at Austerlitz, Napoleon enriched the square by erecting the Vend?me Column. S. T. Dupont has been inspired by this mythical square, which today hosts France?s most prestigious jewellers, to create this new limited edition of exceptional products decorated with luxurious cornices, precious hematites and the subtle colour of grey lacquer, all set off by a brilliant palladium finish. These fine writing instruments have been modeled on the Vend?me Coloumn. Napoleon?s famous quotation ?Impossible n?est pas fran?ais.?
